Book Review: Crown of Delusion by Tanor Costa

This book packs a punch. Costa action packs every nook and cranny of every page. I do have to add a warning label though. ~Contains scenes of rape~ violence ~ mature language. Recommended for 18+ The King is betrayed by one of his own. As he falls a single mage and the king's two nephews escape - only to become the scapegoat for the real villain. The three set out on a journey to rally some unusual new allies to aid in their quest for justice. If you like high-fantasy, the amazing battle scenes alone make this book a must read. You'll need a quiet spot, a cup of tea and a comfy chair. There is a lot going on and a lot of characters to follow. This isn't a book to skim through quickly, but rather one to enjoy and savour. The only reason this is a four star rating, was the presence of some odd choice words in the dialogue. At some points the lines simply didn't seem to fit the characters - as if they were speaking in two different time periods. It did bring me out of the world - luckily it was easy to become immersed again. A great ending I wasn't expecting. This is Costa's first book and I can't wait to see where this author takes us in the future. #authortowatch
